Clown Trash by HipychikComment: Obviously great contrast of colours and textures and I think I like the processing. It gives it a painted feel and makes the clown almost cartoony to me. Lovely image. |

Bloodthirstyby wanjunComment: Brilliantly haunting photo. You've really captured the 'maniac clown' and the grin is genuinely freaky. I love the textures from the cracked facepaint and blood on the teeth, plus I like the desaturated look of it to keep it dark and moody. Nice job. |

The Jokerby LalliSigComment: Brilliant in both interpretation and simplicity. The expression (great snarl!) and makeup are brilliant and the lighting gives the eyes such depth. My favourite of the lot and a solid 10. |

London Skyline.by SimmsComment: Great photograph. As I'm learning, anything too challenging will freak out the voters - but as an artistic endeavour yours kicks ass. It is challenging because of the sheer scale of the negative space but that's what makes it a great photograph. I think some people like being challenged whereas others don't (i.e. some enjoy that discomfort and questioning - I know I do).
If this image was on a large canvas or a large framed print I could see this going for big money...especially because of the natural tones, making it easy to use in interior design. For me it's a very artistic image and the square crop is perfect for the symmetry. Very Zen....imagine this in a stockbrokers penthouse suite....think £2k.... ;) Message edited by author 2008-01-09 12:55:52. |

Sleepy Lionby ErikVComment: I don't know how other people feel but this one I find kind of scary. It's a lovely idea but to me looks like a three headed lion. |

The Catchby brownsmComment: I love the anticipation you've captured in his eyes. The perspective and framing is all brilliant. The leading space really lends itself to the incoming ball and leading the eye through this time lapse. Well done! |

Stage Leftby mpetersComment: Maybe it's the letterboxing but this has such a movie feel to it. The umbrella works brilliantly against the drab rainy surround. |

Childs Play by JudiComment: This is such a gorgeous shot. I love the late afternoon colours and the incredible DoF you've kept - the shot without the children would have been fantastic on its own - but adding the children and the simple movement is lovely. I like that it's a simple movement of a silver ball on this canvas because for me it really gives it a magical feel (oh yes, double rainbow too!). For some reason my brain says 'moonscape'...no idea why. No idea if this stays legal but whatever happens it's a winner :) |
