running out of ideas so fast?
This is certainly a challenge requiring....ingenuity to say the least. I like it..because it's hard and requires creativity... I dislike it...because I do not look forward to rating 400 pictures of a #2 pencil.
*wonders how many "Does not meet the challenge" comments will be handed out next week* |

I think this is the most interesting and creative challenge in a long time. I was getting really tired of these vague interpretive challenges.

Either that or we'll get a half-dozen DQ requests saying the color was Photoshopped.

YIKES! We don't have #2 pencils in Australia. We have a different grading system for pencils. Apparently our equivalent is HB, but will I be penalised if I photograph one of those and people don't get it?
*Confused*. |

Just use your second-favorite pencil... then it'll be your #2 pencil.

Just use 2 pencils... Then one of them is Pencil No. 1 and the other is Pencil No. 2 :)

It's my favorite challenge in a while. I know it may not be that much fun to vote on a bunch of pencil photos but it goes with the challenge and it will just make the really creative ones stand out even more. I'm firing up my pencil sharpener now.

OK - I hate to throw another wrench in the works, but...when the challenge said #2 pencil, I understood that to be a graphite/lead pencil. Now that it just says pencil, does that mean pencils of any variety, including colored pencils?? |

It means anything that the voters think it means.
