one of things i enjoy about this site is the photographer's profile. what drives me nuts is the amount of people who don't post a picture of themselves. now we may not all be beautiful people but when i look at your picture, you become more than a username. i find it helful and i'm sure many would agree. who took that shot? once again "no photo available"
alright, you probably would like to remain anonymous, making things easier for you to communicate with others who actually have no clue as to who you are. do something creative to your image, maybe just an eyeball, your shadow, whatever.
anyone up for it? |

Been a member since September. 1st home PC. Just got my profile posted this past weekend. It took me that long to get the understanding. Will see the results of my first challenge in a couple of hours, also. Have already entered my second.
I agree that I prefer to see an image related to the name. In my case it just took a couple of months to figure it out. I had tried several times to size it and upload, then one night it just worked. |

Hate to tell you this Jackditch, but I still can't place a face for you from your photo! (: Took a few moments just to figure out it was a picture of(assuming its you)you holding a canoe over your head. Don't get many pixels for profile pic,,,might want to update yours too(Unless of course you want to remain anonymous as you say). Welcome all.

Spazmo... too bad you went off line before I had a chance to ask you... is that real or you just edited your picture? That's fascinating... I knew once a girl who had eyes of different colour. She was a wondeful creature...

As I said, the colors are correct. The differences are a bit more noticeable in my profile shot than in person, but I do have one brown eye and one blue eye.
The medical term is Heterochromia, and, in some cases, it is a side effect of a certain brain disease, or in some cases severe head trauma. In cases like mine, it is genetic, I have several cousins with different eye colors. Some are very apparent, others more subtle.
I did a B&W self portrait once for a class that was just my eyes and the prof was actually going to mark me down because my eyes looked like they were different colors. Shows how observant he was....

| I would like to post my photo, but I haven't figured out how. I'm probably missing something really simple, but if anyone can explain how it is done, I would post both a photo and some bio information. |

Mouse over the My Home Link Above then go to My Preferences
There is a place there to upload a profile photo.

LOL, every time I see this thread I think "I really should ditch Jean-Luc Picard..." but I haven't found a pic that isn't ugly enough to crack the glass on your monitors!

I prefer to see a pic as well even though I dont have one up myself. I want to put one up but am still mulling over what to actually put up. A self portrait, something clever that expresses my personality, dunno yet.

| I'm not vane or anything but I wonder do I win for the most self portraits within my portfolio. Not only do I have a profile pic but I have 5 more self portraits within my portfolio. Geesh and I am as recognizable as my little boy in challenges. I need another model who will work for nothing. |
