'Twas a bright DPChristmas, and all through the site ---------- ( Konador)
not a photo was blurring, not even at night. ---------- ( Telehubbie)
The settings were checked in the cameras with care ---------- ( muckpond)
in hopes that blue ribbons soon would be theirs. ---------- ( alanfreed)
While images nestled all snug in their cards, ---------- ( albright1)
(filling up 50 Gig drives wasnât hard!) ---------- ( magnetic9999)
a punked-out Achoo, and Larus in drag, ---------- ( Judi)
had just settled in to the forums to brag ---------- ( james_so)
when out from the ether arose a new challenge ---------- ( Manic)
to which DPCers all charged in a phalange. ---------- ( levyj413)
What devious plot had Langdon and Drew ---------- ( Langdon)
cooked up to befuddle the DPC crew? ---------- ( drewmedia)
When Judi first saw it, she flung off her clothes, ---------- (fotomann_forever)
DrAchoo glued a bug to his nose, ---------- ( DrAchoo)
recalcitrant members paid up their fees ---------- ( Krystle)
while Leroy just smiled and pulled out the cheese. ---------- ( lkn4truth)
Librodo threw open his closet of scarves, ---------- ( raish)
Icelandic landscapes were shipped in from Mars, ---------- ( Chiqui)
all to prepare for this wonder of wonders, ---------- ( dassilem)
this challenge that plowed other challenges under: ---------- ( DeniseBernadette)
âThis week, âtis the season to give all you can, ---------- ( GeneralE)
donât shoot Low Key, Without Subject, or Zen, ---------- ( sabphoto)
give us eye candy, nothing outré, ---------- ( Nobody)
up the Wow Factor and blow us away!â ---------- ( lentil)
As the midnight ride of a nationâs dawn, ---------- ( sfalice)
or the message that ran from far Marathon, ---------- ( Kita)
these glorious words flew oâer the globe, ---------- ( KaDi)
a gospel to gladden the grumpiest Job. ---------- ( Di)
All the great heroes would throw their lots in, ---------- ( ursula)
the whispers began right away: âWho would win?â ---------- ( Beetle)
Competition was fierce, the payoff was huge, ---------- ( ivaldovi)
to be Best of the Best, to oâertop the deluge! ---------- ( love)
A thousand pictures⦠two thousand were entered, ---------- ( sher9204)
beautiful wind-blown models off centered, ---------- ( MattO)
utterly fanatic photography nerds ---------- ( metatate)
put shiny baubles directly on thirds ---------- ( jenesis)
with alien bees and silver reflectors ---------- ( Ware3927)
lighting the treasures of jewel collectors. ---------- ( snowflakejen)
Young Arnit spiraled construction paper ---------- ( Mambe)
so many times it curled like a vapor, ---------- ( plamprec)
and speaking of vapor, food dyes were poured ---------- ( JuliBoc)
in water as clear as a Nordic fjord. ---------- ( silverfoxx
Cattails paraded âneath cloud hieroglyphs ---------- ( roba)
as Bear_Music waited for just the right skiff. ---------- ( Bear_Music)
After what seemed like an infinite time lapse ---------- ( Kavey)
the turnover hit like fierce thunderclaps, ---------- ( cryingdragon)
it shook DP Challenge down to its core, ---------- ( skewsme)
none could believe the highest high score. ---------- ( quiet_observation)
The picture stood bare, like an old piece of wood, ---------- ( Art Roflmao)
exposing its texture and feeling, it stood ---------- ( Snek)
like a beacon of presence burst forth from the wrapping ---------- ( RayEthier)
whose glitter had faded, its energy sapping. ---------- ( jmsetzler)
Where content was king, form had oâerthrown. ---------- ( Louis)
With beauty skin deep, the blue found the bone. ---------- ( L2)
Jjbeguin had shown them the light, ---------- ( posthumous)
âChiaroscuro to all, and to all black and white!â ---------- ( kirbic)

This my friends, is utterly awesome. It is indeed refreshing to note that peoples from all over the globe can indeed get together and share precious moments.
Rest assured that I will indeed record this, and keep it as a souvenir of the wonderful peoples I encountered on this site.
A very Merry Christmas to all.

OK, some of y'all have some very decent voices. Ursula, you sound like friggin Cate Blanchett as Galadriel!

That's got to be one of the best things I ever heard.
I love that it's a collaborative effort assembled from all over the globe.
Wonderful sense of "inside" humour, and a spirited reading by all the contributors.
Good job everybody. Thanks for the laughs. |

Fan-friggin'-tastic!
Ben, you rock, and all the readers, you rock, too.
I'll echo the sentiments of others that hearing the various accents really drives home what a global community we have here.
What a heart-warming thing to hear at this season. :)

Well my friend, I heard it and so did my very dear friend Beetle, and we both loved hearing your voice again, as it brought back a flood of very warm memories.
