most squarish one in my favourites.
still is my favourite. Why I love it?
Doesn't the photo speaks for itself? It's original, it's natural, it's heart-warming! Not something you'd see on the site everyday.

I seem to have a lot that are somewhat square-ish but these are the only ones that are square.

I've used a square crop on no less than 24 out of 52 entries (!). My main driver for doing so was to maximize the image real estate. Particularly with the 640 limit this really has an impact on the amount of detail you can present in your entry. Sometimes the square crop has worked for me, and sometimes not. Perhaps my personal favorite of my square-crop challenge entries is this one:

I definately get it and I love this one.....

Perfect choice for square crop IMO.....
It also happens to be a favorite of mine as well.

I tend to favor squares in my self-portraits more than for other subjects, but all of my "50 Days" projects are kept strictly to square crops: //www.highdesertarts.com/50days (if you're interested)



There are others in my portfolio, but not that I like as much as these.
