The votes cast counter in the profile does not get updated as you vote anymore.
12/09/2002 11:19:59 AM · #152
Okay, voting should be quicker now, to say the least.

When you vote off the main page, it should be _much_ quicker (though there is still room for improvement).

The incorrect labeling bug is still open (it's a difficult one to reproduce).

I don't think it was ever SUPPOSED to. We cache them weekly now, so they should get an update every Sunday (should, didn't this time).

Coming soon (see preferences), it's just not coded yet.

Two things that maybe I'm just not seeing. Is there still a search feature in the forums? Cause that might have taken care of question two..lol. Does it show anywhere how many images you have left to vote on?

On the voting page, I suggest to put the calibration scale after the voting scale. This will take the comment box up to see a greater part of the picture whil commenting.

I just voted Motion.

When I'd gone through every entry I expected it to take my back to the thumbnails but instead it carried on showing me images I'd already voted (with the score I'd given displayed with the little border to show I'd already voted it).

Someone else just pointed this out to me... I actually made it that way by design... Tell me if you think it should be the other way, but now that we have the << and >> buttons, I figure instead of the only way to mass vote again is via the thumbnails, why not just take the user to the next image where they can either change their vote, vote the same again, or use the >> link.

Maybe I'll make it a preference.

On the forum page, and everywhere, by klicking on the user name I like to go to a new page with the photographers profile instead of useing the back button.
12/09/2002 06:10:08 PM · #160
when voting, if I click on a pic and then hit the back arrow to return to the voting page, all of the photos are rearranged in a new order and I lose my place.. :o(
12/09/2002 06:51:50 PM · #161
Agreed, thumbnails are re-randomized every time I go back from a picture.

Seems like I've found a bit of a security flaw.

View this thread and see the link kandyj posted to her submission in the 6th message down. It brings you to the photo_mgr.php page, and actually allows you to change the gallery topics for that image, even though you don't own that image.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already --

On the profile page, the number of challenges entered is not being calculated correctly. For example, I have entered 21 challenges but my profile page (at the top left) shows 20 challenges entered.

I've read through the posts, but must have missed any reference to this - no title or thumb(depending upon which I check) is showing up under peeps names in the forums - is this function not working yet, or is it just not working for me??

This image doesn't have a back button. Wondering if it's part of a larger problem maybe?

Grace, this seems like a silly question, but is it the first image on the list for you? I noticed it awhile ago with a different photo, and then realized DOH, there IS no image before it. LOL. Just a thought.

Nope, I was just going along voting and it was the next one, and I noticed it didn't have a back thing. I don't know what's happening, guess it's just me. Ah well.

Very strange. It shows up for me. I wonder if it's just a little glitch, where the << image is failing to load properly on your comp for that shot for some reason. Let us know if it stays that way, or if it fixes its self in time.

When I opened it from this link, it didn't have a back or a forward button.
When I opened it from my own voting page it had both (it was a photo I had already voted on btw).
Now, when I open it from this link again, the buttons are there!

I'm so glad it's not me having to debug this!

Personally I find it confusing to go through again.

And I had some problems today - I was refining my voting and went into the first image I'd scored 7. After rescoring it took me to the next 7 - great I thought - and I carried on through - sometimes rescorin and sometimes skipping but after a few images I found it was circling me around and around a few images and yet missing others out completely.

I was more confused that a confused thing and normally I AM a confused thing!

I had this exact experience with this image.
