Collection: ZZ DPC failures
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S602Z
Location: Computer Room
Date: Dec 22, 2002
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 160
Shutter: 1/5s
Galleries: Humorous, Political
Date Uploaded: Dec 22, 2002

The idea came up a few hours before the deadline and as it is a humorous approach I did it. It is pretty simple, surely not a winner and I don't think I am the only one.
Tested with the P1, but high ISO noise, so grabbed the Fuji and reshot the scene at ISO160 and aperture priority.
Light by overhead spot and bounce from other spots to fill the shadow. Camera supported by computer casing on auto timer.
Digital processing: Arbitrary rotation of about 25% CW, cropped without resampling. Contrast adjustment (more), nothing good came from levels so no levels. Resampled to 640xAAA, unsharp mask, save for the web.

What kid hasn't made shadow puppets. This is a very good puppet, as well as good photo. Nice background. It's rather hard to make constructive comments when a photo is good, but not exciting. This is good and technically fine. It's a 6 in my book. PTL

A nice hand shadow, and a message I couldn't agree with more.
Personally I would have cropped as tightly as possible around the hand and shadow, while keeping roughly the same aspect ratio - I think the background dominates the image too much as it is.

Interesting background, and the composition of this is actually pretty strong, but the photo doesn't really interest me.

Very nicely composed and shot! A good idea also :-)

Cute photo. I may have cropped it a bit tighter, although this is really not a big deal.

Is that how that's done. Thanks for the chuckles. Jacko 7
