I set this up, shot about 8 shots, spent about an hour editing and submitted. It started out with a high score, as everyone's did from what I understand, and then settled into 7.2XX for about 3 days. (should make my top 5 if the score holds)

I bought a Hydrangea at the local super market, filled a 10" X 10" glass cassarole dish with about 1 inch of water, then I trimmed off selected blooms and placed them where I thought made a good composition. I needed to cover all the water so the overlapping of the petals works well here. I just wish I had done this the first night of the challenge, as I was sort of rushing the procedure, which I really do not like doing. But, I hope this puts a big old smile on the face of Sherpet. My feeling was all the brilliant tones and colors reminded me of her personality and of her beautiful work. I like the image, and it is not cropped, so full size will make a great print.

After the voting was done, I came back to revisit this one.

My absolute favorite from the challenge. The flowers are practically jumping off the screen. Interesting that you managed to get such a feeling of dimension in what is essentially a totally flat scene. And the colors.... Don't get me stahhhted on the colors! :)

Had a rough day today and this one cheered me up. This will indeed be fantastic on someone's wall.

Not everyone's pics started high... mine started in the low 5's and moved up to nearly a 5.7. Go figure.

THIS IS THE IMAGE THAT SURPRISED ME THE MOST DUE TO THE WAY THE PETALS AND RICH COLOR LIES FLAT AS THE FLOWER OF THIS PLANT IS CIRCULAR IN BLOSSOM... Congrats on the HM Dennis and def a shot that reflects beauty and a true message of love. Great work. I regret not entering this challenge simply because it requires basic photography (dont even have to leave your office) for a wonderful cause
