 This Ikea picture hangs in the file room at work, as a tongue in cheek reminder to "shut it" at work. A while back I posted a picture I shot of this with a lensbaby. anyhoo, this seemed perfect for the challenge, I took a bunch of shots, and after getting home at 11:45 on thursday, after a rock and roll band rehearsal, I looked through the shots and picked the best one.

As I changed the title, I hit enter and saw the rollover screen. Doh! I would have called it hush without the file number.

It was shot in Monochrome, not converted.
I am thrilled it did well, but in fact there were many more worthy shots throughout the final placement.

I think this shot conveys silence to anyone who has worked in an office setting and is there before or after all staff is gone. It was an interesting chance to put a literal element into a shot of silence. That is always special to find a representational piece that also works on different levels.

Excellent shot and well suited to the challenge. Congratulations on the nice finish. For future reference, the same thing happened to me with the title one challenge and, during voting, I sent a ticket explaining the situation and requested they add the title and they did.

Actually my favorite of the images with someone with a finger (or something else) over their lips which is funny as I ordinarily am not drawn to a photograph of a piece of art. But having the full context makes a huge difference as does the conversion to black and white which makes this larger view a work in its own right. Initially thought I'd have lost that corner and bit of furniture on the left, but I've re-thought that. I like the letterbox here, too. Voted earlier.
