Taken on the same hike as my "Headlines" entry.
This is RianBotes standing at the head of the Tuthumi pass in the Drakensberg mountains in South Africa at nearly 3000 m.a.s.l.
Shot taken after almost 2 days of constant rain - 1 of which kept us tent bound for a whole day.

Really was an awesome hike for 5 nights with some great guys - 5 in total.

To jump or not? LOL This looks like the Drakensberg. Lovely shot but I would love to see it in colour.

WOW, I nearly missed that guy, gave you a 6 at first, then went back to look at this, it's really really awesome, great find!!

Looks almost like he has wings on, although I know it's his backpack, well done!! 9

Voted earlier coming back to comment.

Wow now that is what it feels like to be 'on top of the world'! The majesty of the mountains and the being above the cloud deck looks to be both an exhilarating and humbling experience at the same time. Capturing the person in the shot adds a human experience to the landscape and gives it a sense of scale.

Beautiful image, showing the insignificance of mankind compared to the 'grandeur' of nature. The layers of clouds almost look painted.

Photo's that attract me the most usually are the ones that make me want to be there and see it for myself. This is def. one of those

That's quite the place to contemplate from. Watching the tops of the clouds as you stand there must be a wonderful experience.

Fabulous shot Steven? I say that now because I think the hooded hiker is actually Rian :) Very unusual to see it in B&W and a risky choice. The composition is excellent.
