Always a pleasure to view your images before the roll-over - enhanced by the chance to read your comments and explore them again, notes in hand. No exception here. Congratulations on the blue - your father must be very pleased.
BTW, has anyone ever told you your English is as good as your photography and digital darkroom work? |

I especially like the torn thread, which apparently was not strong enough to hold the giant ball. |

Yup. I always do as much as I can in reality, it is much easier than doing it afterwards in post-processing. |

My parents are always very entertained by my "strange ideas", as they call them. The wrapped furniture was no exception: they even kept them wrapped a few days for fun. While they know I enter my images in online challenges, they don't know about DPC, and were very curious about the result: I will call them tomorrow - my father is going to be very proud of winning his first ribbon :) |

In any case it was my highest vote in the challenge. This time I am not too far from you ;)
Congrats on the blue - if I'm not wrong you reached IreneM as the top ribbons winner! |

Great horrorized Christmas colors. The abundance of elements feels gyabanesque :) especially the ball in front. But for this scene, I honestly think it's not the right approach. The wrapped furniture a-la Raymond's parents will get you a ribbon for sure! :)). |

The Flying Pig Honorable Mention awarded in recognition of fine art created with photography, especially in Expert editing challenge entries. See previous awards & comments in The Flying Pig thread.
This is amazing. On the surface, at first glance, it's so real, so accessible. In the details, it's so surreal. I zoomed my screen to the max on it, & WOW. This composition seems to illustrate a story that is unfamiliar, that I can't figure out. I enjoy the looking. |

This is so beautiful and strange. The wrapped furniture is wicked clever. Not sure why he's poking the ornament but the red and green light works well. A technical nit for me is that the source light for his face is a mystery. It is neither glowing from the fire (which would be the logical source, but it is hidden behind the ornament) or the right color. |
