Wow, no PB, but a blue ribbon, my first under expert editing ruleset! Thanks everybody, it's been an exciting week.

This was one of the challenges I really wanted to enter, but I couldn't find a good idea.
Caravaggio, Dalì and Van Gogh were my first choices but nothing in my mind.

Then, after lunch of the last day I saw something on the Internet that suggested me this surrealistic/Daliesque idea. 


First shot was taken 12 hours before rollover and I finished my editing 2 hours before the end (I also used a shot of a few days before, but nothing really important in the composition). To tell the truth editing was not too complicated, it was just a matter of being aware of what I was going to create.

Of course, the beauty of my wife's face helped a lot! :)

I have to agree with what you say. Some of the current ones are quite boring, but I'm sure we'll have other challenges of this kind :)

I will stand by my earlier comment, sorry. I don't know what it is specifically though. Overall, you are a great artist, Alex, and developing really fast. This is a great effort. Very impressive.

I wish we had more challenges like this one that unleash the incredible creativity of the best artists DPC has. Just voting on the other current challenges emphasizes this point so much! :(

Congrats on the Blue! Very well done tribute to Dali's surrealist paintings! I like the stream of free floating thoughts that we can see behind the face. What they mean will rest with each individual's interpretation. To me, those free form shapes and lines are perhaps representative of the creative thought process:-)

DMC. It's no small feat to create this. I am not going to wax lyrical but suffices to say this is one work of art that is neither smashed by plugins or filters and is crisp and clean as art can be. There are only a handful of images here that are near photo-like but could have been painted, This is one of them. Top Marks.
