 Thanks everyone for the votes and comments. It was quite an exciting week watching the score jump around.

There hasn't been good boat shooting weather in this spot for about a year but there's been a very long period of dead winds here now so I've had 3 weeks of shooting opportunities. I've taken over a thousand pictures at this spot and all the boats here in the last few weeks. Here's an outtake from the same day long before the sun was near the horizon:


I know it was somewhat recognizable as mine but it was really flattering to be mistaken for a Bear_Music shot by a couple of dpcers. :)

I took a shot like this, true, but it was in Lake garda! and after the challenge! and also it didn't have those spectacular clouds! but apart from that it was ver similar ~;)

Gorgeous photograph. I like how you used the line up of boats to lead the viewer to the sunrise. The reflection on the water is beautiful dimension of this photo. Everyone's view of the event is different, subjective, but I like to see more deepness in the color, as well as range of color cast from the sun. All in all, great photo!

A scene you used before, but what an excellent image. Those boats just finish it.
I feel lucky to live in Scotland and enjoy beautiful sceneries and sunsets, but this view is even more stunnishing.
