My first submission. Hard to find landscape in kansas that isnt flat and boring. Farmland, however, is in abundance.

Note: Do not take any comments in this review personally. They are only for the purpose of assisting with photography.

Composition: The trees in the foreground give the feeling that you are in the woods looking out at the cultivated land. I think this is effective in giving a sort of transitional feel. There's a bit of a jumbled feel tho as there is no ONE standout element to draw the eye. Maybe your horizon could have been a little lower in the shot.

Technical: the hay bales seem a little dark as if backlit slightly. Not too bad but that with teh trees makes the pic seem a little dark. There's a bit of softness to the image.

Overall a fine effort!

Good shot overall, too bad you caught a pole in there. Kinda changes the nature feeling.

Excellent composition--the eye keeps coming back to the hay and the horizon

I don't know if the pole is leaning, but I think I would have liked this better rotated a bit, and with the car and buildings out of the photo, even though they lend some depth. The complimentary colors are nice.

I've taken many shots of these round hay bales but I never used the trees in front. I like it.

I like this shot. And I like that the trees are in the shot. I think the pole kind of takes away from the naturalness of the shot, but still nice. The focus on the bales looks a little soft, bt not serious. I like the color and the angle and framing/cropping are nice as well. Lighting conditions seem to have been good for the shot. Good luck in the challenge.

I love the hay and colour of the fields. Not sure that I really like the trees in the foreground.
