very nice composition in this photo! the curve of the stream works well with the line of trees and the horizon. i really like the contrasts of the browns and greens as well. i also think the bland sky helps enhance the melancholy mood of the photograph. technically well done, i like the fact that you used full aperature capability--one of my favorite aspects of the pic is the tiny tree way up on the horizon! all in all nice work! |

perspective seems to be distorted. could be a stream from a few feet away, or a river in a canyon, taken from the air, might need tighter focus. |

This does feel very dry, and you've gotten that idea across well. Composition good, too. The only problem I have is a lack of something really interesting, but that's hard to find in landscapes; good picture. |

You have captured the drought feeling of this photo. I like the contrast between the trees an the grass. Good job at minimizing the sky since it was overcast. Good luck. Jacko. |

If you could've gotten the sky blue, it would be really great. With the sky white, it's still pretty darn good. Nice pic. - Inspzil |

It certainly looks like a drought! I like the feel of the way the water swings back to the right. Good job with color. |

Sure looks like Bay Area. I heard about heavy rains recently in that area. Would like to know location of this photograph. JEM |

The stream really adds a lot to this shot, for at once you can tell the stream was much bigger but now just a trickle. I like how the stream takes your attention towards the backdrop of the shot. 7. |

challenge met. i like how the "river" curves through the photo, the trees behind it almost draw a line and all this meets up at the big green tree where the river is no longer visible. makes it very easy on the eye to wander around the shot and then find a place to rest. i think you also did well eliminating much of the sky since it's pretty bland. good job :) |

Nice photo, but I think you should have captured some more sky (or maybe no sky at all). As it is now, the small amount of sky looks kinda pressed up in the top part which results in a somewhat disturbed balance of the photo. |
