I haven't been to the "Mighty Mo" in about 10 yrs so this challenge was a good excuse to go. I got there as soon as they opened and was the only visitor on the ship for close to an hour. There is so much to see on board and I really recommend taking a tour of the ship if you're visiting Oahu. Along with this you'd be able to visit the Arizona memorial, the Bowfin (submarine) and see the Pacific Aviation museum. All are close to each other.

This was one of my favorite from this challenge, not just cause it's a great shot but I served on her sister ship the Iowa. I can remember sitting under turret 1 looking out over the bow with a view similar to this. Thank you for the flashback.

My husband and I visited this ship a couple of years ago (along with the Arizona memorial). Powerfully moving reminders of those days. You did this great ship proud. Congrats on the ribbon!

My eye is drawn to the unnatural sun. I would have left it blown out instead of turning it the odd shade of grey.
