Challenge: Transitions (Classic Editing)
Camera: Sony DSC-F505V
Location: San Francisco
Date: Apr 15, 2002
Aperture: F4
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/170th
Date Uploaded: Apr 21, 2002

I was attracted to this upramp because of the interesting bolts on the columns, but none of the compositions emphaisizing them really worked. It was basically monochrome, so using B&W was obvious.

i feel like I'm playing GTA3 when I look at this picture, it's a great location! the focus seems a little soft in the foreground and on the car, though.

good shot -- nice framing, and blacka nd white works well. if only smoke was pouring from the car in a spin out . . . :-)

nice car you chose for the shot too.

very clever visual pun. i'm wondering. were you just hanging out under here? ; )

turning into a freeway? looks like a regular road to me.

the grafiti guys certainly risking it high on nearest column on right, good B&W image

car is too distracting. Like it in b/w though.

nice shot, not sure of the transition it shows

I like this photo, B&W and all, but I don't see it as a transition.

Excellent detail and focus. Well done!

Nice how the structure pulls you into the picture.

There doesn't seem to be a need for black and white here. Maybe I just don't get it.

nice car! i think seeing more of the freeway traffic and the merge of the onramp would better represent transition

This is a very nice photo... I do like black and whites tremendously. They always peak my interest. This is some nice scenery as well... Nice shot!

great shot, but not sure it meets the challenge.

I don't think I would drive under that.

i don't even know what to say about this

like the use of the overpass as a frame. Stretching the transition idea I think, and the title is all that really gets it there. The car in the light at the end is alo a good addition. nice work.
