Thanks for the input. I probably should have spent more time cropping, though I am now just figuring out what style people on this forum prefer. |

the color is a bit flat, and the composition doesn't really draw me in, perhaps this would be more dramatic from a lower angle and with more direct lighting. |

of the flower pics I've seen I like this best so far, the wood mulch really helps the flowers stand out |

If you could have zoomed in on the flowers in front, I think it might have been more effective. Great focus and clarity. |

This could be improved with a composition that leads the eye to where the plants are breaking ground, therefore emphasizing transition. Perhaps closer cropping and lower angle. |

Which bloom is the subject here? There's too much leading my eye around the frame. Maybe this could be cropped a bit tighter on one or two adjacent blooms? |

I much rather would have preffered a closer up shot, too much negative space |

Nice contrast... Maybe a little closer with the camera... the mulch is nice but the flowers are nicer! |

good image... one thing that would've been good though is to have some snow around them melting. just a suggestion. |

the isn't enough of the subject and too much of the ground. |

Could maybe be a lot closer in and just shoot one of these pushing up - the one in the upper left might have been a good candidate ? |

Nice contrast of colors. A tighter crop of the main budding plant might've been more dramatic. |

Hey, I have these in my front yard. Nice shot. |

Too much of a "straight on" shot for me. Maybe an angle from lower to the ground would make it more interesting. |
