Set up a couple of lights on the back patio, put a bit of water in a balloon and blew it up, and then had my son let it go. Yes, I could not get the color of the hands to look right. I thought about darkening the diagonal flare but I figured if I got started I would take it too far.

Very interesting lighting. Works well on the balloon but the back of the forearm looks a bit odd to me. Still...I predict a top ten finish.

Love the balloon. Something weird and distracting going on with the light and color on the arms, particularly the one in the rear. A different treatment or a different crop might have been better - just enough to show the other hand but remove the weird lighting/color. Tighter crop would have highlighted the balloon a little more as well. 7 that could have been higher.

Love the great idea. Wasn't sure about the lighting 'blur' which I guess is a consequence of the balloon moving. Still one of my favourites.
