 Taken handheld at a pioneer festival in Coloma, California - an historic gold mining site and park. Cropped, slight levels and Helicon filter, and resized for DPC. I chose this for the open over a landscape just due to the initial impact the image had on me.

Wow this one is awesome! your lighting is perfect, the bold sillouette of the man is very good. I like it, just think that land used to be rich in gold!

I can't believe the last time I looked at your port was October Kylie! Great shot and you've captured the atmosphere well. Ilove the smoke and especially the light on the ropes, adds interst to an otherwise dead area. I'm sure you tried sepia before keeping the blue?

Ooo wow, didn't spot this one... shame his head isn't fully backlit by the light blue smoke. Great mood though, and strong shapes.

I really like this photo. Excellent lighting and use of the smoke to add ambiance to the picture. Everthing in the photo fits - it all adds to the theme

Looks like a reenactment. Can't wait to find out where it was-I took over 500 shots at one recently. Nice shot of night life at the encampment. Love that you left it a color shot, instead of sepia or b&w, it gives it more of a "chilly night" feel.
