 My wife and I are so very proud to introduce you to our daughter, Emilie! She was born on September 13, and she is the sweetest baby ever :-)

Initially, I really wanted to enter this challenge with a significant effort of mine, but when my motorcycle crashed into that deer last week, I had to quickly adjust my plans. Once back from the hospital, I tried to walk around with my crutches, but it was obvious I had no way to go to the woods: my leg would not let me. Instead, I managed to go down to the river border, next to my house, with the camera around my neck. I snapped a few shots of the vegetation around here. It wasn't dense enough nor green enough for what I had in mind, but I knew a few color adjustments and a few additional studio shots would do the trick, so I went back home and started working on that.

Then, my wife went to the toy store, and used her cellphone to send me photos of the various plush animals, so that I could choose which ones she had to buy. She went back with my selection, but also with some alternatives, so we now have plenty of those :) My wife also kindly created glasses and knitting needles for the rabbit, while I took some photos of guitars and hats to composite with the mice.

Of course, we also had to grab Emilie for her first proper shooting session! Surprisingly, it went very smoothly, and we did not have to work for a long time before having a few decent captures. I told you, the sweetest baby ever.

She is a such a sweet looking girl, can't believe you got this image together with all you went through. Looking forward to seeing her grow up on DPC.

A perfect creation! I love those mice with guitars - did you make these or do they come like that? Congrats on the well deserved blue. Emilie has some superb toys - I really love the hedgehog too. Wot no cows?! :)
