Woo-hoo once more! My first ribbon!
I can't believe it - thank you so much, dpc-voters!!!!
Since I reckoned without doing so well in this challenge I didn't offer an explanation in photographer's comments, which I really do regret now (and I don't know if and how I can add a comment subsequently, sorry). But here it is:
This image was taken August 2008, while a summer festival firework took place at the Olympic site in Munich/Germany. I knew about the firework and went up to the television tower observation deck next to the olympic stadion several hours before it was supposed to happen, positioned my camera on a tripod and waited for the sky rockets (@ melethia: no drone ;-) - can't afford it!)
Really happy that my plan worked out!
What a perfekt start in my day (it's about seven in the morning where I live)! I wish you also a great day!

| This is such a phenomenal shot, from the vantage point, to the subject, to the fact that this is a long shutter speed and SO clear.... So much to look at and love. Look at all those people!!!! I have a feeling I know who took this, but I'll wait til rollover to see if I'm right :) |
