Was very excited when Anita suggested this challenge, loved browsing through the previous one. Inspired by Allesandro and others here I also wanted to do "Vermeer" for a while, so you were right about original intentions, Marion! :-)
Took me the longest to find the pattern for the hat. :-)
There was no pipe in the original version, but then after reading forum discussion about "boring old paintings" I desperately searched trying to come up with something less boring. I'm glad some of you enjoyed the title "joke".
I liked the photo, but it really changed after applying one of skeletalmess textures, recommended here (THANK YOU again, Wendy!).

Life had changed last year, after joining DPC, and it's been great! So much to learn and try...

Everything about this image is painterly, but I find the subject oddly stiff. I like the gentle fill to show her hat on the right. I don't know why. Expect this to finish near the top.
