Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Alecia :)
I think you did a good job with your photoshopping in this image. The transition between the pasted image and the actual window is very smooth... I'm not really qualified to comment much on that aspect because I never mess with that sort of stuff myself :)
I like the off-balance lighting on this image as well... I believe that it makes a nice amount of impact. The only possible suggestion for improvement that I could make on this image would be to crop a little tighter on the left and the right. There is not a good way to put this window off center because of its shape... that being the case, I think a square frame would work well in this case. Clipping the left and right would make this not look so dead centered and possiby create higher impact by making the detail in the scene through the window a little more visible...
Keep up the great work :)

Nice montage. This challenge seemed to be a great way for people to reuse their nicest photos by sticking them in a window :P. But this one works really well. The window itself is a great shape and beautifully lit, and the rainbow in the sky is a great touch. That almost looks like a watercolour painting in there. |

Now, that is a view! I love the simplicity of the composition, the view has great depth and is very inviting. One of my top pics this week. Good Luck |

Some jpg artifacts in the window frame (you must be using a camera like mine!). The lighting could have been a bit more even, also. Interesting interpretation of the challenge. I do like how the images in the window seem to have a glowing effect, though. |

Interesting shot, and I like the "scene" in the window. I would have preferred a tighter crop on the window, showing a smaller area of red, and really would like more light on the woodwork of the window. It's somewhat dark and shadowy; I like the way you have the light on the window frame on the upper right side where the detail in the window frame is a little "crisper". |

I think this could have benefitted by a square crop to remove some of the excess red. |

challenge met. i like the textured background, the lighting is pretty even (if not perfect), too. i want to have the kind of view you have there!!! being totally clueless at postprocessing (except for some of the basic steps), i really don't know what to suggest, but the image doesn't quite look real in the window. the only other thing that you might want to consider (and probably already have) is that this is a very symmetrical photo and a square format would've enhanced that even further in my mind. good work overall :)

...and a great view at that, even though it looks like a painting. Nice lighting and focus. |
