I always like to comment on the shot that had the greatest shift between my top scoring group and a less august placement, and my friend, why am I not surprised to find you there. The startled focus of the giraffe among the chaotic wash of the vegetation is lovely. Congratulations, and commiserations. |

Framed and photographed this way, the title, "savanna", seems intimate and personal referring to the animal. Oh Savanna, don't you cry for me... 7 |

I'm generally not a fan of images that are "fuzzy", usually even when that is by design. This however, really caught my attention. I love the very artistic look of the image, and it clearly conveys the feeling of a "savanna" in the wild. |
