[Jun. 11th, 2015 10:35:05 AM]

We had just spent the afternoon watering flowers at my daughters' school. The street has been under construction so it is all torn up but I noticed this structure on our way and I thought "maybe on the way home ...".
So that's what we did. They are modeling for me. We happened to find a dirty old cigarette butt and after my younger daughter failed to make it look legit, my oldest pulled it off. I was pretty pumped about this shot - I didn't even know all the reasons but I think compositionally, the lines make it one of my better people photos for sure.
So pleased that voters are liking it. Well over 7 at this point.

I'm back again to look.

Your daughter deserves an Emmy.

Congrats on the ribbon! This fit the bill, IMO, with the only distraction being the back end of that jeep. Well done!

Tate, excellent work and congratulations on the ribbon in what (for me) had some strong images in.

I really don't peruse the member challenges as much since I can't vote on them. With that said, yours would have been my top pick. It's gritty and really reminds me of a Mary Ellen Mark image from what I've seen of her work. Everything hits the mark for me. Your oldest really has that attitude look; props to her.

There were a few that stood out for me, but this one made me think "whoa."

Very fitting of the theme, it's like she took it herself, top five for me.

Not quite as powerful as the original, but still a great image as this is not a copy challenge! The girl does a great job in expressing the emotion that I feel in the original. Well done, both of you :) (voted earlier)

so far this is the closest thing I've seen to one of her shots in this challenge, I really hope it's not staged but I can't say I didn't think of staging one for this challenge. I will vote as tho it's not staged.
