 My good friend Nick taking shots in the Liwa dunes. We both have drones, so we went up there primarily to use them, but I got a nice mix of shots from both my drone and my DSLR that day.

I had to plan this trip 2 days in advance, and I was hoping that the announced challenge would somehow fit with a shot of desert or sand somehow, especially since DPL was going on. It turned out to be 'Feathers', which didn't help in any way. It was still a great shoot, and now I'm glad I got to use at least one of these shots on DPC :)

Thanks so much for the great votes and comments! There were some amazing photos in this challenge, and even with a 7+ score I wasn't really expecting to pull down the blue :)

this is very challenging. I am tempted to say that the photographer and his traces ruin a nice sweep and etch of dunes, but in fact he reels us in by his ordinary, banal presence. and are we not tired, after all, of perfect, cool unblemished abstract sweeps of stuff?
