 Focal Length: 73mm with a 2.7 crop factor.

So this has to be the easiest challenge for me ever!

I went into a restaurant (Casa Blanca in Madison, AL) that had the most interesting lampshades that I think I've ever seen. I took pictures of them. I then chose my favorite and crop it so that only portions of the lampshade were visible. I used a negative filter to turn the once green shade to the polarizing pink you see in the image above. Finally, I re-sized it so that it would conform to the rules of the challenge. And wallah!

Don't really expect to win. But I think the picture is cool. So I want to enter it anyway. :-)

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I recognized that type of lantern right away, someone in the area makes them! Nice trippy colours, the way they're designed certainly helps you meet the challenge, and if you look at it for awhile it looks like it starts to rotate (or maybe that's just me :-) So what if it is a teeny bit of an easy way to get an entry, sometimes stuff like this works, and even if you didn't win you still did pretty well.

Keep up the good work, I think we're going to be seeing more of you on the front page!
