Don't you think that toast is a little over done. I would have scraped it before buttering it. In my opinion, if you were going to use the paper towel as the background that is all that should have been in the background. You should have cropped it as close on the other three sides as the bottom is. The cropping is ok if you had not used the paper towel and just put the toast on the white counter. Either way, not both. Other than that it is a reall good photo and right on for the challenge.

I'm not sure that the kitchen paper works as a prop. It undermines the texture of the bread a bit. I think I would actually prefer the toast to be the top piece, because the plain piece of bread isn't as interesting to look at.

LOL, this could be my hubby's breakfast. when we started dating i used to complain that he used a papertowel for a plate. must be a bachelor thing. ;) i like the contrast between the bread and the toast, i think that would've been even further emphasized if you had skipped the butter. also, a different color background to make the papertowel stand out a bit more would've been nice. overall, still a good idea for this challenge :)

a nice idea. Photo is out of focus and could use mabe another prop like a shiny toster, I might have shot this at a different angle, and used a pat of butter aswell.
mabe a next gen would yield some different results. good job.

Although "unique" in a sense, we feel it was done in a hurry and without much interest...the Scott Towel under is a bit sad...no offense though!

I think I would have liked this shot a bit better if the paper towel had been layed on a darker background to contrast it more. Not the most interesting shot but I still like it. Thanks for sharing!

LOL neat idea. Need more contrast for your background..,maybe some color, a plate, jelly, cloth? Looks a little too blah this way.
