Thanks to my incredibly nice husband!!
I almost didn't enter this challenge, because it was Thursday night, and I had absolutely no ideas!!
None.
Nope.
Nothing.
But then I came up with Dumb Photographer's Club (obviously one of the myriads of Breakfast Club sequels.)
So it had to be done!
He really did hold the flash in front of his face, but for some reason, I couldn't get it to flash at full power! When the camera was controlling it, it was going at very, very, very low power. After awhile we gave up, did a longer exposure, and he fired the test button -- that worked.
But it didn't really match the other photos. So I had to just use one of the ones that wouldn't flash and create the light in photoshop. It's pretty obvious, and it has problems, but it was good enough.
Then I realized that I should put the "rated" box in. The problem is: I still can't seem to draw a box in photoshop.
I mean, it's just a box!! It should be easy to draw it and move it, but it never seems to work for me. I should probably figure it out someday. But really, who wants to draw a box?
So I gave up, put in just the sentence, figured it would have to do as it was.
I really should stop doing this on the evening of the last night!
Well... I'd write more, but I have a couple of hours left to get tonight's entry in. Later, folks!! :P
Thanks for the comments!! |

Great poster.
Your husband should be glad that the flash didn't fire. Looking into a flash at full power from that distance is an extremly painful experience. You can't see anything for half an hour after that (been there, done that years ago with a not very powerful flash). Just hold the hand over a flash when it fires at full throttle - it is hot, that gives you an idea of the energy in a flash. Then imagine getting it into your eyes ... |

One of my 7s :-) And let me know when you learn how to do a box in PS, I also missed out putting in a ratings box for the same reason! Congrats on the red! |

Funny pic but its niche appeal doomed it at the box office. |

Wendy, this is awesome!! I wish I could have come up with that... (as many others, I'm sure, was ruminating on Dead Poets ...something...) Kudos to your husband for excellent acting as usual! 10 |
