This is my brother Jake. I showed him some Dorothea Lange photos and asked if he would please please please mind posing for me? He smiled, came up with the costume and we trekked across the road to his neighbor's crumbling barn - really, it looks like it could fall down any day. To add to the fun, it was freezing! The wind was howling, snow was blowing, and he is just not a very big guy but he took off his jacket and patiently posed for me. This shot was actually a bit of an out-take, I'm not sure what he was looking at (he was probably wondering how much longer the torture was going to continue) but when I looked at all the photos later this one really grabbed me. Happily, he is no worse for wear but the next time I ask him for help I'll try to pick a better day :)

Dorothea Lange has been one of my heroes. You have more than done her justice. This image just takes my breath away.

I thought I commented during voting but something must have gone wrong... well here is my belated comment:

This pictures just yells "Dorothea Lange" at me. Everything is perfect, his expression, the clothing, the location. Simply perfect. I rated this a 10.

Congrats on the blue and the awesome score - 7,3 is quite reare nowadays but so well deserved!
And Congrats to your brother too. I hope he's going to be you model again in the future

very good idea, but his clothes and those suspender straps look way too pristine. Wish things were a little grubbier and more worn.
