Greetings from the Critique Club :)

I think this is an excellent before and after shot... I particularly like the composition of the glass on the right side of the frame. The 'path' of the glass creates a nice leading line as well. The contrast of the glass against the bean background also adds a nice element to this photo.

The only area I can see for some possible improvement is the lighting... there is a strange gradient in the 'path' in the beans that looks slightly strange... I don't know if any additional depth of field would help that or not...

Keep up the great work :)

The title is a bit cheesy, but I love the composition and camera angle here. The swirl in the beans is gorgeous. The lighting is very warm, somehow it really conjures the smell of coffee to me. The only thing I don't like is that it's yet another bloody Starbucks reference... why is that brand name so common on this site? I'm glad we've managed to escape Starbuckisation in my country so far!

Love the composition and colors. Very tight on topic. The lighting seems a tad hot on the froth. Great job! 9 Lisa

challenge met. i like your composition a lot. an unusual angle, plus the curved path through the beans is nice. although, if the glass was pushed toward someone i'd be more natural for it to look straight ... but i guess it works for the photo. i like the separation of layers in your latté, and your focus of the beans getting less sharp in the back is great. i also like that you filled the whole backgroud with them. basically, i really don't have any areas for improvement. :)

Nice advertising shot. Great idea. I'm wondering how you pulled it off exactly. Looks like a mirror but I can't tell for sure. - Inspzil

Good concept. More lighting sources would have enhanced it. Trying to use jsut one flash gives hot spots and dul spots.

Wow, that's a whole lot of beans. Very effective shot. Good luck. Jacko.
