 i very much admire photographers who catch birds in motion .. or anything in motion actually.
so to get out of my comfort zone i attempted to shoot a reasonable photo of the noisy miners that come to my bird bath ..
i have hardly ever shot flying birds before and i have never never been so patient trying to get a shot ..
i tried on three separate days to get something challenge worthy ..
and because they are also a bit shy i had to put the shutter on silent and move very slowly even tho i was several feet away from them ..
noisy miners are quite small and are particularly aggressive and territorial .. and will challenge other birds .. even ones much larger than themselves ..

in trying to get a keeper .. my admiration for photographers who get it right .. grew in leaps and bounds ..:)

i cant believe this .. my little noisy miners have a blue ribbon .

getting this blue ribbon has made me feel quite emotional .. :)

i was going to go black and white .. but my daughter and her friend Rhiannon said no go colour .. so i did ..

So, the bird on the right is the female and she's been looking for her husband (on the right) all day and she finally caught him AT THE BAR! And thus, a domestic dispute has erupted. :P
