Wow this is amazing! Getting your camera out while having dinner with conference attendants... that makes me smile. I would totally do that too! I̢۪m so glad your efforts paid off! It̢۪s so beautiful!

| I also thought you were in an adjacent cable car working the timing just right. Either way, you released the shutter at the exact right moment. Catching the sun through the cable car really makes this image stand out. Congrats on the red! |

| This is a superb photo and certainly deserved a ribbon. I bet it would do well on a stock library. And you took this while sat in a restaurant - did I understand that correctly? If so that's even more amazing. I thought you must have been in another cable car. Congrats! |

| Congrats on the Red. One of my top votes and this image has so much going for it. It has a dinner feel to it, the end of a hectic day. Shut down time. Good on you for having your camera and grabbing the moment when it counted. It is this attitude that frustrates every non photographer.. including my family |

WOW where was dinner did you say??
I have dreams of wrestling my camera out of my camera bag often, seeing the most amazing images in my dreams and never able to capture them. When it occurs in real life it's such a thrill to snap that one image that blows you away. Congrats! |

| very cool ... its a fantastic capture .. loving the silhouettes of the ppl in the carriage thingy .. and the sun shining thru .. the colours are absolutely gorgeous .. perfect in every way ... :) |

| Love this - very cool seeing the sun between the people - as if caught in their cage and riding down (or up?) with them. My tiny wish would be for a clean separation between the background islands and the tram. Voted earlier. |

This is a stunning image. I always love a very good silhouette. Were you on the other carriageway? Or on top of a mountain? anyway beautiful.

| Sun sets and silhouettes are always a winner in my books, and I don't care how many people say "not another sun set" ... I love them, and this is a really nice composition to top it. |
