Just looking at this image makes me very scared. I experienced a lightning this close once in the mountains in Australia and that was the last time I went hiking when thunderstorms were forecast!
Amazing that you caught it on camera and lived!

Congrats. It's official, they've changed the term Lightning Rod to Lightning Rian. Rod was a bit miffed. Hope your tent was holeless! |

This is truly amazing! I am petrified of thunder and lightning so this would be my worst nightmare and the last thing on my mind would be to take a camera out. So hats off to you for your bravery. And more importantly congrats on the blue for this incredible image. |
