 I found this photographer in the center of a bunch of birds at Seaside, Oregon. I mentioned that the birds seemed to know him, and he said, "yes, I make a lot of friends out here." He provided bits of bread for them, then played his large harmonica, which they seemed to enjoy. When I offered to send him a copy of the picture, he gave me his card. Lou was a taxi driver in Sacramento California for 18 years, and he wrote a book of tales from that experience (here). Now he makes and sells images of the coast (website). He graciously gave me permission to use the image "any way you want." Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
