 I was so unsure about this entry. I know it is not technically perfect, I have hummingbird photos that I think are much better, but I'm not sure I've ever had prettier background, bokeh light, so I decided to go ahead and put it in the mix. But I am truly shocked that it won 2nd place! There are so many really good photos in this challenge!

This is tremendous. But then again, I don't look for perfection, I look for beauty. Didn't even notice the blown tail. The colors are so soft and luscious! Congrats on the red!

I love this shot!! I have tried for years to get decent hummer shots and I have none that I am thrilled with. I rated this higher because of the difficulty and your luscious bokeh!! Congratulations!!

many congrats Sandy .. i thought this might be yours in voting .. but felt that it wasnt up to your usual high standard of perfection .. lol .. but the bokeh coupled with the hummingbird was very Sandy-esque .. so i was 81.9% positive it was yours .. !! ..
very glad you entered it and was validated again for your amazing photography .. its not all about perfection .. its about the impact .. and the beauty .. which you have totally nailed here .. :)

Beautiful image, lovely depth of field, and sharpness, I really appreciate how difficult these hummingbirds are to shoot. I tried when I was in America..., man holding that huge lens and trying to focus on this bird which flies at 1,000,000 miles an hour, so hard...so anyway Iâm bumping this up. Pretty sure it will be the blue.

I love your editing also, this looks like a painting.

Gorgeous light and bokeh. Nit: the whites on the tail are blown out. So, not perfect, but darned close.
