 This is my mom. Such a trooper, she always comes through when I ask her to model for me

To willem: it's both. The candlelight (from a 3-candle candelabra) was assisted by a small LED light panel i use for Zoom. It was indeed a tad low ...oh well.
To streetpigeon: no, those are not bifocals ;). Just a regular pair of reading glasses.

Love the light and atmosphere. Nice old book (and lady ;-) ) as well. Top image. The actual light source is not the candle, right? Looks to be a bit lower and to the left? A reflector?
