Many hands make light work, or so I've been told. Hah. In the past year I have singlehandedly, with a frickin lil electric Ryobi chainsaw with a 16" bar, bucked up approx 12-14 face cords of firewood. The 16' elm, maple, birch, ad ash logs are real; the PPE (steel-toed workboots, ear muffs and bucking chaps; yeah I know I don't have eye protection) are real; the chainsaw, though electric, is as real as it gets and could still jump and rip open a section of leg. Or face.
So, this is what I do for fun many a Saturday morning. Only difference today was I had the camera on a tripod, timer set, and used good ol Siggy as my go-to lens. Love it. Maybe it'll help me win another blue :-)
pp: very basic. Mostly just exposure as the light changed, a little hit of vibrance/saturation, some NIK, done.
post challenge: Yay, always nice to see my pic on the front page :-) Yes, this is an excellent full-body workout...but nope, catching a chunk of wood weighing anywhere from 20-50lbs just really isn't feasible :-) I toss em onto the driveway and pick them up once done bucking. |

first thing that came to mind was many hands make light work .
and so it appears here .. its a great image for the challenge and i'm loving the flashes of red against the greenery .. :) |
