How did you get such a "black" backgroun???? |

This is absolutely delightful! The subtle coloring, angle and quality of the lighting, composition. I'm almost speechless, and my friends will tell you that's quite an accomplishment *grin*
My one suggestion would be to dodge the stem to black right where it touches the edge of the frame. Not very thickly, just enough to place a thin line of black there to stop the viewers eye from following the stem out of the frame. The black 'break' will force the eye to stop, and the proceed back down to the flower, where yo want it to be.
I certainly hope you have this one up for sale.
Kudos. |

Professional rendition and a great wall hanger. The delicate form and shades are very well captured. Bumping up. |

Very sweet. I wish the top of the bud weren't quite so bright, I'd like a trace of detail there. Similarly, the back of the shell could use a tad more separation. |

I see this as a ribbon winner all the way. Incredible lighting, great composition, focus, tones, and even the border adds to the effect. Awesome shot! My only 10. |

Congrats on an amazing capture! It looks as if the snail is melting with the plant.. very cool :) I also love your creativity with this shot. However, I think that the background might take away some attention from the snail & plant, maybe a more solid background would have worked better, or simply just a little darker tone, otherwise I think it's perfect. GJ! |

A nice reinterpretation of "Over the Top" -- it continues the story nicely. I really like your lighting, it has a lot of "pop" but in comparison with the other, it seems that the backlighting and use of negative space is what helped create the sucess of the original. However, your image stands nicely on its own. Lovely texture and detail in this image! |

Beautiful image, wonderfully lit. I'd never seen the original, either, so thanks for pointing that out to me. |

While the "pose" isn't as impactful as the original, this is still beautifully shot. Nice. |

This is a beautiful shot that more than does the original justice. It might look better if the background were solid black, rather than having slight splotches of blue, but, regardless, it's still an excellent photo. Really nice job! |
