A little too dark on his face. However the crop and compostition is great and I can just see enough of his eyes to see the despair... |

I really like this photograph. It is certainly is a good example of how to frame the subject. The texture found on the columns adds something and the line of the stairs and sloping pavement is also interesting. The man is in shadow to a certain extent, but I think it adds to the atmosphere. One problem is I did not really undersand the title and wondered if the photograph really did exhibit despair. The man looks to be at complete peace.

Nice composition, nice texture on the pillars - but it looks like trees in the back to me, however much colour's been taken out. Bit cheeky? |
