Just because some ppl think that desaturation is involved, then I must state that there is NO DESATURATION in this photo. The waters of the Blue lagoon are of this strange colour, hence the name, of course. As for framing, sorry, this was a split-second capture and I really couldnt't get any closer.
I really like the arch of the bridge over their heads and the nice atmosphere caught in this. The Blue lagoon stretches out behind the ppl and to the L and reflected light colours the steam rising from it.
BG is a snow covered lava-field, appx 700 yrs old.

an intriguing image, marred by what seems to me unrealistic use of selective desaturation. The steam, especially, should not be colored, and why is some of the water behind the bridge tinted, but not the rest of it?

Cool, indeed! Great colors and you show just enough for the viewer to know what and where.

This photo really appeals to me, I love the muted colors, the arc of the bridge and then the real surprise people in the water with a camera...Just wonderful . I am giving this one a 10 and I don't do that very often.

Hey, wait a minute, those aren't monkies! I love th ecolors in this, however I sort of feel that because of the composition, the bridge is being presented as teh subject rather than the people. perhaps a lower angle, and maybe getting cloer to the subject would've worked (though the latter was probably impossible because of the water). I do like how the bridge is framed, and I like the mountains/hills in the background. Maybe even if you'd've panned lower to include more of the water in the foreground, thus moving the bridge to the top and focusing on the pair, but I dunno. Nevertheless, a good shot.

I like tyhe softness in your image and the pale colours seem to work very well - good luck

the curved bridge frames your subjects nicely.

The desaturation treatment was tastefully executed and enhances the mist off the surface of the water. Nicely captured.

Hmmm. That's a great looking bridge/background, but I kind of would have liked to be closer to the dad and daughter. That's a real tricky one--balancing the two.

I love this photo. The landscape and atmosphere of the scene is incredible yet they don't take away from the intimate moment. There is something humorous in the scene as well, perhaps the whimsical nature of the photo of a photo being taken and the juxtaposition of the grand and the small, that makes me smile like I imagine the father is smiling behind the camera. 10. Where is this by the way?
