Very impressive - was the shot taken from on the ground, or did you pick the flower first and hold it up? :o) |

This is a time when the blowout exemplifies the light source, which I feel is an integral part of this shot. I like it for a difficult challenge. |

Really feels like midsummer. I like it. |

Did you try taking a shot with the seeds in the air? I had the same idea for such a shot, but never got around to it. |

very nice. I like the lens flare. Crop the shadow on the right hand side though |

Nice photo. The lighting is a bit distracting. But all in all, very nice. |

Tough exposure to control. The lens flare is distracting. Maybe a lens hood or shielding of the sun from the lens with your hand with or without a hood may have helped? Shooting at a different time of day (I would guess this photo was shot at mid day), or at an angle away from the sun may have given you more control of the light also. Your primary subject has excessive blown highlights. I still like the idea for it's simplicity. |

I like this shot, think it would have been nice to have a few of them blowing off while you took it.

great macro and I like the little bit of lens flare. One of my top ten |

You got the camera down there and pointed up alright. Good sharpness. Lens flare detracts, as does the dark whatzit at R. |

Nice, one of my favorites. Might have been better to crop out the tree on the right. |

The sun glare and little something on the right are a little distracting. Nice and crisp dandelion. I love taking pictures of them, too. |

i like the lone solitary soldier quality of this. even the lens flare and hot spots dont bother me. |

The sky is a nice blue (where do you live that you don't have clouds!?) and the backlighting on the dandelion gives it a nice effect. I think if you had framed it vertically and shielded the lens to avoid that lens flare, it would have been stronger. |

Would be close to perfect if you had cropped that thing out on the right. |

Nice idea, the title is excellent. The sun in the shot is very fitting, but the smudges off the right side are slightly distracting. |

I can't decide if I like the sun and lens flair or if I find them distracting. Personally, I would crop out the little blades or whatever on the right hand side. |

Wow! This is so crisp and artful! Very nice! |

This is very nice! The sun positioning in the lower left corner really adds a nice effect, as does the minor lens flares on the diagonal. The clarity here is superb! There is some minor blurred image.. maybe a tree or something in the distance on the right side of the image at the edge, but i didn't see it ;) EXCELLENT! |

would be even stronger if there wasnt a shadow on the right edge. |

The lighting is too harsh, and there's too much sky. It seems flat. |

I *LOVE* this !!!!! A fav ! |

|
04/29/2002 08:50:00 AM |
nice! The lens flare works for you in this case. The tree on the right is annoying on an otherwise great shot. Maybe turning the camera vertical would have worked better, with the whole subject across the frame and the head in the upper left, rather than so central ? |

The sun in the lower left hand corner takes away from the picture alot. Perhaps a different time of day would have made this picture even better. |

The lens flare bothers me here. I loved this shot until it loaded the whole way (I then saw the bottom corner) The dandelion is in such beautiful contrast to teh sky, it's a shame the flare and stray element on the right are taking my attention away. Try using a lens hood to combat the flare. |
