 No sunlight in my area all week so the background doesn't pop as much as I'd like. I enjoyed using this technique. All blurring done in the camera. Wish the flower was a bit sharper but the wind wasn't still enough :(

Cropped, cloned out dirt, neatimage to remove some noise in the flower, adjusted levels, saved for the web

Thanks to all who commented -- (especially to Joanquin for making it a favorite!) I am thrilled to place so well in a contest filled with so many strong photos. I learned that I like this technique and will try to create a stronger light/circle effect in future flower shots.

Great shot and good use of bokeh to make the subject stand out. The white flower is difficult to capture and you did it pretty well, except for a few small areas.

I think a little more on the background would have made this a spectacular shot. The background is to bland just needed something a little in contrast to throw the flower at you more. (7)

Great use of bokeh in this photograph. The smooth out of focus background draws the eye immediately to the flower. Stunning use of subdued color. I really like this photograph.

very simple and pretty. white flowers are my favorite, so this stands out to me. nice contrasts with the subtly variegated background.

a slight more contrast on open flower to show different petal would given you a ribbon IMO

Understated bokeh, but it's there and it's working IMO. A bit too much on the right here, cropping-wise, and a tad tight to the left. Nice image.
