cool idea, calmer water would hve helped

The reflection is cool, but you really need the trees in view to make this image work. From the Ground Up isn't represented very well either.

I had to look at this one for awhile. Interesting reflection shot almost looks like a water color (no pun intended).
05/03/2002 10:12:00 PM
I really like the watercolor feel to this.
05/03/2002 07:01:00 PM
Nice reflection, but not too compelling.
05/03/2002 02:12:00 PM
I'm not sure if I like the lighter green part at the bottom
05/03/2002 10:42:00 AM
I get lost looking at this picture because I am trying to search for "ground" and "up". Did you try a shot where you included a piece of the ground to show the relative position of the camera relative to the subject?
05/03/2002 06:15:00 AM
Interesting picture. I like to look for shots like this myself. May have been better if you included some of the shore or a more interesting reflection.

I had to look closely at this to see what it was, when I finally got it, it was worth it, it's a nice shot

Very creative interpretation of the challenge. Nice job.
05/01/2002 03:30:00 PM
This is sort of a loose interpretation of the challenge but I like the photo.

For me, the light green patch at the bottom detracts from the rest of the image
05/01/2002 01:26:00 PM
The most original composition of the bunch. Would have been a 10 save the brown coloration at the bottom of the photo which detracts somewhat from the brilliant colors at the top.

I thought of doing the reflections shot also, but didn't have the nerve. Great job.

Different spin on the challenge - interesting! However, there's not much in the picture that really holds my interest, no central object that the eyes are really drawn to.

Cool way to capture from the ground up. very nice

My eyes must be failing......

No real point of reference that screams, "I met the challenge". But I don't care I like it. Interesting. Almost has a watercolor look to it. Or maybe looking at the world from the bottom of a coke bottle. Very artful and creative. High mark for creating something special from something that could have been a boring snapshot.

i can't tell which way the trees are going, maybe i am blind
04/29/2002 04:24:00 PM
Cool shot, water gives an almost painted quality to the image. Cool! I would have gone for a "10", but for the color inconsistancies in the lower part of the image.
04/29/2002 03:21:00 PM
Water rippling is not helping this photo.
04/29/2002 02:45:00 PM
I really like this. Puts me in the mind of Monet.
04/29/2002 01:02:00 PM
Nice reflection, very creative
04/29/2002 10:56:00 AM
very interesting, to get the water to do this to the trees!
04/29/2002 10:08:00 AM
Nothing really stands out in this photo. It doesn't really hold my interest, even though the reflection on the water is pretty. It's a bit flat, really.
04/29/2002 09:40:00 AM
nice interpretation
04/29/2002 09:07:00 AM
like the texture the ripples have added, very 'impressionistic' style
04/29/2002 07:55:00 AM
I like reflections, and I like your subtle approach to the challenge.

This is a nice water reflection photo. In a photo like this, you may want to consider having some of the shoreline visible in the shot so that it doesn't look like a filter has been applied. My *first* thought when I saw this shot was that it had been filtered. As I looked a little more, I can definitely see that it's a water reflection. Nice shot!
04/29/2002 06:20:00 AM
strange effect, but very cool
04/29/2002 05:52:00 AM
Hmmm... apparently a reflection off a water surface. Maybe your subject should be "to the ground and up" :) The image is not very clear. Makes an interesting abstract photo though.
04/29/2002 01:09:00 AM
Nice twist on from the ground up. I know the shot itself was not, but the result was. Cool interpretation.
