Well composed shot with good use of splitting the frame with diagnonals. A touch over-sharpened perhaps. |

Pretty, but the relatively centered composition and the lack of details because of the high contrast makes it hard to really be drawn into this photo. |

ok, please bear with me. voting this challenge is extremely difficult, not just because of the size, but because we are dealing with images that people consider their best. it makes even constructive criticism hard...
i think you have found a beautiful vista to shoot; but i also think you shot it at the wrong time of day. the lighting is just too harsh, and it takes away the details that can bring an image to life. it also doesn't help when the sky is not really offering anything interesting. even though sunsets and sunrises can be considered cliches, they are shot because of the drama in lighting that they offer--and that drama is what you need in a challenge entry to grab a viewer's attention. if you don't wind up where you wanted to be in terms of comments and votes, please don't take it personally; maybe just consider it a starting point for the rest of the year. good luck in this, and the challenges yet to come! |

Not much to look at here, rocks are quite dark and hold no detail. Try a ND grad they work very well in this type of shot. |

Beautiful looking place. A little more foreground (rocks) would have moved the horizon line up a bit. The horizon is a little too centered I think. 6 |

You have a good angle for this photograph, and a beautiful day. Seeing as how the sky is so clear, I think I would have been happy cropping off about half of the blue you have at the top... and making this a wider photo, this would not only get rid of the fairly blank sky, but sould make the area you are seeing seem wider because of the width of the photo. Just an idea. Also I would have liked a little more substance to the waves which are just TOO white. |

Pretty scene but the highlights on the water distract. |

Wow how weird! I have been humming this song for about 10 minutes and then I see this shot with the title. Bizarre :) |

Good solid lanscape shot - perhaps a little too much black on the right, but that is a really cool cloud formation. |
