That is a wonderful shot! I work with birds of prey, so I know how difficult of a capture this had to be. Hmmm...actually sideways instead of upside down. ;) A fantastic pic of a falcon in flight...Well done!

Absolutely beautiful! I have a special admiration for birds, and this photograph shows the unique aspects of what birds can do that we could only dream of. Thank you! I rate this photograph a 10! Nicely done. -NBT

How do they do that?
05/18/2002 03:54:00 AM
To use a comment system of someone else, photo 9, upside down 2, overall 5

Very nice detail on the bird. I'd love another dozen or so pixels on the top, so that the gap between the wingtip and the edge of the photo was larger.
05/16/2002 10:20:00 PM
great picture of something hard to capture with clarity
05/16/2002 03:05:00 PM
OK, I don't think there can be argument on this one. It's a great shot -- love the orientation of the bird's head in relation to the body. (Would have given some others a run for their money in the stop motion challenge.) However, I don't think you can claim it's upside down. Two comments on the photo as is: If possible, shooting from a higher position to make it all grass as a background instead of that little bit of tree, and it seems to have a bit of a green tint on the bird -- that can be a hard thing to remove easily without messing up other things -- it may also just be a kind of visual illusion. The bird might not be green but only seems that way because it's surrounded by soo much strong green.

this is an excellent photo. in my opinion, it doesnt meet the challenge - the bird is sideways, not upside down
05/16/2002 07:55:00 AM
Totally awesome shot. More 90 degrees than upside down but who cares.
05/16/2002 12:56:00 AM
One of my favorite photos but I don't quite get the upside down part.
05/15/2002 11:25:00 AM
very nice shot, but not upside down
05/15/2002 08:45:00 AM
this is the great shot! but "Upside Down" - i don't know...
05/15/2002 08:03:00 AM
Fantastic clarity and focus in capturing shot I could only dream of getting. Perfect framing as well.
05/14/2002 10:52:00 PM
This isn't exactly upside down, but pretty close. It's a beautiful bird and a great shot.
05/14/2002 08:31:00 PM
weird how his head is straight but his body is contorted...why the heck didn't you have this one when the stop motion photo was needed
05/14/2002 05:40:00 PM
I love wildlife photos (recognizing that this looks like a trained bird). Great angle. Nice clean background.
05/14/2002 05:34:00 PM
WOW, great photo (love those bird shots!!!!) Isn't he/she sideways? Photo 10 +++++ Creativity 10 ++ Upsidedown 8 total 10
(this is soooo good, I had to make an exception to the challenge) (you really nailed this one!)
05/14/2002 12:32:00 AM
It's a beautiful photo, but my first thought on seeing it wasn't "upside down" (maybe sideways). Still rates high...
05/13/2002 10:38:00 PM
Should have saved this for the upcoming 'upside right' challenge. Nice catch, tho.
05/13/2002 10:17:00 PM
not quite upside down (almost), but a nice action shot nonetheless
05/13/2002 08:14:00 PM
Not quite upside down...
05/13/2002 08:02:00 PM
Wow, nice catch. It's a little more side-ways than upside down though.
05/13/2002 05:44:00 PM
the challenge is upside down RIGHT?
05/13/2002 04:56:00 PM
This is a beautiful photo of a beautiful bird... It's not quite 'upside down' but the shot scores well anyway :)
05/13/2002 04:55:00 PM
amazing picture. doesnt fit my criteria of upside down, but what the hey
05/13/2002 04:46:00 PM
How the hell did you do this? Please provide some details when the challenge is over... I give this 10 and I'm only handing out 2 of those this time (but hell of a lot of 1's)
05/13/2002 01:44:00 PM

That is an incredible picture. Just one big glaring problem. Its not upside down.
05/13/2002 10:01:00 AM
Great picture. I love the way the hawk's head is vertical. Not really sure how well it meets the challenge.
05/13/2002 07:02:00 AM
This is a great photo. I predict top 3. I gave it my highest rating this week.
05/13/2002 02:58:00 PM
wow, this picture is very crisp, but its kind of...vertical
05/13/2002 02:43:00 PM

05/13/2002 02:34:00 PM
