great capture.... the subject is a little dark though,. Also you can add some color to the background.. make it a little blue to add contrast to the image

Fantastic capture. The shape reminds me of the SR71 Blackbird, maybe that's just me being strange.

Magnificent. To me the birds the feathers look like a mess and the positioning of the legs make me wonder if it's about to land. There's a nice balance between what it's carrying and the shape of the bird too. I like it a lot.

What an interesting angle. Love those dangling feet! A nit - I'd have titled it differently. Something about "take off" or "nesting" but not sure exactly what.

this is cool, I'm sure I've seen thousands of heron shots but this is a new angle, probably too much to ask but flash would have put more light onto the underside of the wings and body, excellent capture

Never look up when a heron or pelican flys over, just an expert warning ;) great unique shot.
