Disturbed by Pedro, (Peter Marlin), was an excellent entry challenge.
Pedro is very imaginative and skilled at finding ways to enter the DPChallenges. And through his own admission, he states that he thought that this photo would not win him a ribbon.
Like all unique artists, you make art for your own challenges and hope others will agree with your work. If this disturbs anyone, how about the nudes that appear every once in a while in our forums and challenges.
Look the other way if digital art "disturbs" you. |

Really cool picture... very twisted...the texture of the skin is truly wonderful, nice dramatic light...so psychotic. What really makes this so disturbing is how the subject is addressing the viewer with his eyes...the kind of stare that appears to follow you around the room ( I actually got up and walked around the room I'm in to test this theory) just a really effective picture...EXCELLENT! |

This is truly disturbing. My guess is that he wrapped himself in string and then took it off for the picture. For an essay on mood this is dynamite. (Could also go in the dreams challenge as a nightmare.) Makes me shudder. |

Man, is that monofilament fishing line? That has to hurt being pulled tight..enough said about pain: this is great! I love the expression in the eyes, and the hard light from right is perfect; left side of frame in blackness works as the face just slides away into the darkness. . creativity plus!...9 |
