nice close-up, the lighting is good, great textures. i don't know if it would improve the shot, but you may have tried framing more to the right so the vertical ilne was on a third. 8

I like this. Originally I didn't consider it to be minimalism and so gave it a very low rating. Now I'm being more generous in what I call minimalism; I've just added 3 points to my original rating of this image.

Very Nice image! Sharp focus on the needle and thread. Even the strands on the thread are in nice sharp focus. Nice use of DOF to seperate the background objects from the forground. This is especially good, given how close the objects are to the forground. Great colors and textures, as well. Nicely done! <7>
